GloriaFood Migration Checklist For Restaurants

EZ ONE Hub Team·6 min read

GloriaFood closes on April 30, 2027. After that date, every GloriaFood ordering page goes offline, menus become inaccessible, and customer data is no longer available. If your restaurant uses GloriaFood for online ordering, this checklist walks you through everything you need to do before the shutdown — in the right order, with zero downtime.

Before you start: export your GloriaFood data

Do this first, even before you choose a replacement. GloriaFood data will not be recoverable after the shutdown.

  • Log into your GloriaFood dashboard
  • Export your customer order history (contacts, order values, order frequency)
  • Screenshot or document your full menu — items, prices, categories, modifiers, photos
  • Note your current delivery zone configuration and fee structure
  • Save any promotional codes or loyalty configurations you want to recreate

Step 1: Choose your replacement platform

Evaluate platforms against the criteria GloriaFood fulfilled:

  • Commission-free direct ordering (you keep 100% of order revenue)
  • Automatic menu import from GloriaFood
  • Embeddable widget for your existing website
  • No long-term contract requirement
  • Active support during the transition period

EZ ONE Hub matches all five criteria and offers free setup support for GloriaFood migrations. The EZ Presence plan starts free, with a $2.50 per-order customer convenience fee paid by the customer.

Step 2: Set up your new ordering page

Timeline: 1–2 days

  • Create your account on the new platform
  • Import your GloriaFood menu automatically (if the platform supports it) — or rebuild manually from your export
  • Configure your delivery zones and fees
  • Connect your payment account
  • Set up your ordering page branding — logo, colors, cover photo
  • Place test orders to verify checkout, confirmation emails, and kitchen ticket flow

Step 3: Go live while keeping GloriaFood active

Timeline: Day 2 or 3

Do NOT shut down GloriaFood yet. Launch your new ordering page while GloriaFood continues to run. Your regular customers still have a working ordering link during the transition. Your goal for the next 60–90 days is to shift traffic gradually to the new platform.

Step 4: Promote your new ordering page

Timeline: Days 3–90

  • Update your Google Business Profile ordering link to the new URL
  • Update your Instagram and Facebook bio links
  • Update the order button on your website
  • Email your customer list: "We have upgraded our online ordering — here is your new link."
  • Add bag and packaging inserts pointing to the new ordering page
  • Put QR codes on tables and receipts linking to the new platform
  • Ask staff to mention the new ordering link when customers pick up or dine in

Step 5: Import your customer data into your new platform

Timeline: Week 2

Use the customer export you saved in Step 0 to import your existing customers into your new platform's marketing or loyalty system. This allows you to send a direct communication to customers who may not see your social media or website updates.

Step 6: Monitor and transition

Timeline: Weeks 4–12

  • Track orders on both platforms weekly
  • When 80%+ of your order volume is flowing through the new platform, you are ready to close GloriaFood
  • Deactivate your GloriaFood account before April 30, 2027 — do not let it lapse by default
  • Redirect any bookmarked GloriaFood links (if possible) to your new ordering page

Step 7: After the migration is complete

  • Confirm your new ordering page is indexed by Google
  • Update any directory listings that still reference GloriaFood
  • Send a final email to your customer list confirming the new ordering experience is live

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my menu when GloriaFood shuts down?

If you have not migrated before April 30, 2027, your GloriaFood menu data will be inaccessible. If you migrate to EZ ONE Hub before the shutdown, your menu is imported automatically and you lose nothing.

Do I need to shut down GloriaFood before migrating?

No. Run both platforms in parallel for 60–90 days. Your GloriaFood page continues working while your new platform builds traffic. Only deactivate GloriaFood when the majority of your orders are flowing through the new platform.

What customer data can I export from GloriaFood?

GloriaFood allows restaurant owners to export their customer order history and contact information. Do this immediately — before the shutdown — as this data will not be recoverable after April 30, 2027.
